AN AMERICAN IN PARIS - A theme from George Gershwin’s most cohesive orchestral work. An imaginative marvel, with a strong american profile, with surprises around every corner. Like Van Gogh, Gershwin invented an idiom. He remains its greatest practitioner. |

DRIVE IT HOME –One of the first blues songs I ever listened to, written by a Louisiana music character, one of the most interesting musicians from New Orleans. A catchy groove and some simple lyrics I remembered on the train to Timisoara. The same train is the place we rehearsed the song before performing it on stage. |

GEORGY PORGY - Georgy Porgy pudding and pie / Kissed the girls and made them cry / When the boys came out to play / Georgy Porgy ran away. A trick from a tale. |

LIGHT MY FIRE – The first song Robby Krieger ever wrote, a title which catapulted The Doors to overnight fame. We don’t like the band, nor the overwhelming glory, but we like the song. We removed the famous opening theme to reveal the soul touch of the song. |

AIN’T NO SUNSHINE – You can give up playing many love songs, but not this confession that makes you understand the feeling of NOT having someone. A simple song you can’t put away. |

APRIL IN PARIS / SOUL OF THE CRYSTAL – Close up on Nicu, enjoying the freedom and the spotlight. Alone on stage, he offers something that very few guitar players can afford. A moment of virtuosity and feeling, replacing a whole orchestra. “Soul Of The Crystal” is written by him in memory of Puiu Cretu. Simply superlative. |

VIOLENT LOVE – Willie Dixon left a rich heritage in the blues standard collection. When you don’t know who wrote a blues tune, you can easily say : Willie Dixon. Touching the funny side of this genre, Violent Love welcomes you to improvise and make innocent jokes. |

YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND – We always communicate with the audience inviting them to join us, we envolve them in a special relationship from which they should understand the spiritual meaning of our meetings. Every time we feel that our presence is justified, the relationship is coherent, we play this song. When we feel that we’ve made friends, but mostly when others consider us friends, our mission is accomplished. |

EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE – One of the most beautiful songs ever written, which perfectly reflects the magic of musical simplicity. Anyway you play it, it is sublime. The only condition is to have the proper mood, the one you need to express it’s whole charm. We distracted from the song’s hypnotic bass line and augmented the accompaniment to make a clear distinction between parts. A dedication to all who gave us consideration. And maybe to the ones who never had a song dedicated. |

SIGNE – One of Nicu’s favourites. He can even play it in his sleep. |

SOMETHING – One of George Harrison’s jewels, written near the end of the “White Album” sessions; it was too late to squeeze it onto the disc, so he gave it to Joe Cocker and then included it into the band’s repertoire. We took over the song, as a tribute to the Beatles phenomenon. When we feel a mutual attraction to something, we play “Something”. |

TEARS IN HEAVEN –Broken down by the absurd death of his four-year-old son, Eric Clapton wrote the heart-rending “Tears In Heaven”. Life also means pain. When we lose someone dear to us, we learn a serious lesson and must pass a very difficult exam. We need the power to bear down the pain. Everytime we play this song, we think of the ones who are not with us anymore. Family, friends or influent personalities are irreplaceable in our souls. ”Tears In Heaven” is dedicated to their memory. |
